Beng Mealea is a temple located in a forest about 40 km east of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, about an hour and a half by car from Siem Reap.
It is one of the Angkor ruins, which is a World Heritage Site, and although the moat is about 45m wide and the circumference is 4.2km, it is somewhat small in scale, but it has many similarities with Angkor Wat and is also called the “Angkor Wat of the East.” It is speculated that it will surpass Angkor Wat when it becomes clear.
