In 1985, “Göreme National Park and the Rock Ruins of Cappadocia” was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the center of Turkey’s Anatolian Peninsula, this place attracts a large number of tourists from all over the world every year. The strangely shaped rocks called “fairy chimneys” were created by ancient volcanic activity and long winds and rains. There is no end to the number of people who are fascinated by its magnificent natural beauty. Sightseeing of strangely shaped rocks by hot air balloon is particularly famous, but staying at a cave hotel using cave dwellings is also one of the pleasures of sightseeing in Cappadocia.
