The Champagne Pool is one of the highlights of the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland outside Rotorua, New Zealand’s North Island.
The Champagne Pool is a large natural hot spring with a diameter of 65m and a maximum depth of 62m, making it the largest pond in New Zealand for the size of a single hot spring source.
The contrast between the emerald blue hot spring and the bright orange rocks surrounding it is beautiful.
