Kudaka Island, Japan

Kudaka Island, Japan

Kudaka Island is a long, narrow island about 3 km long, about 5 km east of the Chinen Peninsula in the southern part of the main island of Okinawa.
Why is this island called “God’s Island”?
There is a legend that Kudaka Island was the first island that Amamikiyo, the god of nation-building, came down to this land and created.
In addition, it is said that the seeds of five grains washed ashore on the island’s Ishiki beach, and agriculture began there.
