Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula is famous for its many volcanoes, which are listed as one of Russia’s World Heritage Sites. One of them, Mutnovsky Volcano, is an active volcano, and there is an ice cave with a total length of 1 km created by the hot water from the volcano flowing into the glacier near the mountain. Sunlight shines through the ice and illuminates the interior of the cave, creating a mysterious appearance that cannot be expressed in words, and a beauty that cannot be thought of as being of this world.
