Taushubetsu River Bridge ,Japan

The Taushubetsu River Bridge is a concrete arch bridge on the former Japanese National Railways Shihoro Line, located over Lake Nukabira in Kamishihoro Town, Hokkaido.

The area where the Taushubetsu River Bridge is built was submerged in Lake Nukabira, which was created by the construction of the Nukabira Dam in 1955, so the water level changes dramatically depending on the season and power generation, so it is completely covered with water. It is sometimes called the “phantom bridge” because it changes its appearance depending on the season.
