Tiger Cave, Thailand

Tiger Cave, Thailand

About 10 km north of Krabi Town, there is a temple that uses a cave near a steep cliff. The name “Tiger Cave” comes from the fact that tigers lived there until about 50 years ago.

A large Buddha statue sits in the Tiger Cave, and if you go up the stairs beside it, you will find a offering box shaped like the foot of the Buddha statue. Climb the 1,237 steps leading to the observatory and you will reach the top of the Buddhasoku stone.

Since each step of this staircase is different in size, it is a struggle to climb to the top, but when you finish climbing, you can see the magnificent Krabi rainforest from there. You can also see limestone caves and 100-year-old trees.
