The Hofvijver and The Binnenhof in The Hague has been the center of Dutch politics for centuries. It houses the parliament of the Netherlands since 1446. The small tower in the middle of the image is the official office of the Dutch prime minister. On the left of the Torentje is the Mauritshuis museum and the buildings on the right are part of the Binnenhof which houses the Dutch government. In the foreground is The Hofvijver. The Hofvijver is not a pond but a natural dune lake and is fed by the Hague Creek which is directly connected to the dunes in Kijkduin. The image was taken during full moon.
